I decided to start trying to do some digital scrapbook pages with some of my 365 photos. It doesn't make a mess and is much quicker. I like how they turned out. However, I will never give up paper scrapbooking!

Presents & Cake- Cooper's 8th Birthday
There was no school on Cooper's birthday because of President's Day. After a lazy morning we got dressed and opened presents. He couldn't wait any longer. He loved everything he got and was very excited to get to his own camera and a huge dolphin. After we went to Climax Coffee for our traditional birthday muffins. We went for a walk along the river so Cooper could use his new camera. He picked to hang out at home the rest of the day playing the Wii with his new Skylanders. For dessert we got an ice cream cake and it was very yummy. While Cooper was pretty bummed Daddy wasn't here, he still had a great birthday!

Happy 8th Birthday Cooper!!
Can you believe little Cooper turned 8 years old today? I know I can't believe it. He really is the sweetest little boy. He tends to be more on the quiet side compared to his brothers and sister. They loves all things in the ocean. He sleeps with about 20 ocean creature stuffed animals on his bed. He still loves to cuddle with me and I just love that. Happy 8th Birthday Cooper!

Project 365 2013 Update
I am happy to say I taken a photo everyday so far this year. I have completed all 40 days out of 365. It has been great practice and fun coming up with ideas. There have been a few days that were difficult to come up with, mainly because the weather was bad. I prefer to shoot outdoors rather than in the house. Anyway, if you want to check out my progress, you can visit my 365 page here: Shannon Hager Photography Project 365 2013

Cherry Blossom Portraits at the Park
After school we tried to take a few more portraits at the park. The sun just would not come out for us. Still, I got this cute one of Emma. There were a few other pretty cute ones. To see more, visit: Shannon Hager Photography

Butterfly Landings
We have driven past the butterfly garden so many times. Yesterday we finally made it a point to stop. It was small but very cool. The butterflies were everywhere. They would land on you and in your hand. The boys just loved this and thought it was so cool. Emma was terrified and wanted nothing to do with the butterflies.

Cherry Blossoms and Valentine Hearts
We headed up North again to search for more cherry blossoms. This week we went to the Nago castle site to see how in bloom the trees were. They were a little disappointing. But we all got a great workout walking up the 100's of stairs. At the top is a great spot for photos. I took the opportunity to get a few Valentine's Day photos taken. I love all the unique and fun places in Okinawa. Always somewhere new and different for photo shoots, even on a very tiny island.

Low Tide Exploring at the Beach
After school today it was nice and warm. We stopped by "Dolphin Park" to walk around the beach. It was low tide and the search for sea creatures began. There were some nice Japanese men fishing. If they caught a smaller fish they would put them in one of the little pool for the kids. The kids were so excited. They laughed and laughed. We also found a few crabs. We enjoyed a nice hour exploring then it was home for dinner.
