Family Journal: Week 8: Feb.19th-Feb.25th

Saturday, February 19th: Today we had Cooper's birthday party. Cooper picked a pirate theme. I made yummy oreo cupcakes and a chocolate cake. Cooper had a few friends over. They played Legos and had a great time. It was a really fun birthday party! After the party we had dinner and the kids watched "Alpha & Omega", Cooper's choice. Cooper had a great 2 day birthday celebration!

Sunday, February 20th: Today we over slept and didn't go to Church. We spent the day hanging out. Cooper played with all his new Legos. Parker played with Cooper's new Transformers. Emma played Barbies and Carson played the Wii. It was a nice, relaxing Sunday.

Monday, February 21st: Today the kids didn't have school and Josh was off because of President's Day. Parker's speech was canceled. The kids played all day, colored, played with Legos, and played the Wii. AJ came over for about 4 hours. It was a nice relaxing day.

Tuesday, February 22nd: Today AJ came over early. Parker had fun trying to get him to crawl. However, AJ had a pretty bad cough and cold. Daniel picked him up a little early. The kids had fun playing barbies today, all 4 of them. We had dinner and then I had a Team Parent meeting to go to. Oh my, there is a lot involved- fundraiser, parade float, snack bar schedule, etc. It should be an exciting baseball season.

Wednesday, February 23rd: Today Carson and Cooper had their first baseball practice. Cooper's was at 5 and Carson's was at 5:30. I took Cooper and Parker, Josh took Carson and Emma. Cooper's practice was half team meeting and half practice. I am the Team Mom for his team so I had a lot to go over with the parents. Cooper had a great time running around and throwing the ball. Carson's practice was just a team meeting. His coach is really nice and he knows one boy on his team. It is going to be a very busy spring with baseball x 2.

Thursday, February 24th: Today was rainy, windy and stormy. The kids had boring days at school because they didn't get to have recess. After school Cooper played with his Legos. Both boys finished up their homework packets. It was a very uneventful day.

Friday, February 25th: Today is was very stormy in the morning and very cold this afternoon. The kids really bundled up for school, which only happens a few times a year. After school the boys picked their rooms up a little and then played Legos until Josh got home with pizza. We had dinner and then went out to run a few errands. I just happened to check our email around 4:30 and saw the email about our new assignment. We were shocked!! We didn't know where it was to, so Josh had to go out to work to find out. We are going to Kadena AFB, Okinawa, Japan in June. We are in shock and speechless.

Family Journal: Week 7: Feb.12th-Feb.18th

Saturday, February 12th: Today we got up early for Magic Morning hours. We got to Disneyland at 8:00. We went on a ton of rides before 9:30, including the Matterhorn which Parker even went on. We had an amazing lunch at the Blue Bayou, all 16 of us. We went on many more rides. We had to fit in as much as we could since it was our last day. My Aunt Stacy and Mom treated Emma to a makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. She looked like an angel. She was beautiful and she just loved the whole experience. We were all sad this was our last day but we fit in so much today. Disneyland truly is the Happiest Place on Earth!!

Sunday, February 13th: Today we woke up around 8:00. We packed everything up and said our good-byes to Grandma and Grandpa. We left around 9:45 and made it home by 4:30. It was a fast trip home. It actually went by really fast. The kids were exhausted so they all took great naps in the car. We had such an amazing Disneyland trip. We can't wait to go again next year!

Monday, February 14th: Today was Valentine's Day. Josh was so nice. He got up with the boys, got them dressed and fed and all ready for school. I never get to sleep in. It was amazing, better than any present. I woke up just before he took them to school to give them kisses. I woke up to a dozen red roses, coffee and breakfast. It was a wonderful Valentine's Day morning. Parker had his first day of Speech. He did so great. He was trying so hard to do whatever Alba asked of him. I was so proud of him. The kids had good days at school telling everyone about Disneyland. Luckily it was an early release day, so Carson got out at 1. We all needed the extra rest. Josh was able to get off work a little early so we could hang out tonight.

Tuesday, February 15th: Today AJ came over a little later. Cooper had a great day at school. After lunch we went to the school to watch Carson's play. The 1st graders have been practicing since the beginning of January. The play was "Friendly Neighborhood Helpers". Carson was in the garbage truck driver group. They sang a song which was really cute. Carson did a great job! Josh wasn't able to make it unfortunately. It was a little crazy with Cooper, Emma, Parker and AJ. Today Josh tested for his next rank, Tech. He won't find out how he did until June.

Wednesday, February 16th: Today Cooper celebrated his birthday at school. He took cupcakes and they sang Happy Birthday to him. He got to wear a special birthday crown all day. Cam didn't go to school today, so we picked Carson up. 3 trips to that school a day is a little much, back and forth, back and forth. When we picked Carson up it was pouring. We were soaked! Josh worked late so tonight the kids and I had movie night. We watched Shrek 4 and had popcorn.

Thursday, February 17th: Today the boys didn't have school. AJ came over early. It was a house full today with all 5 kids here all day. The kids played on the computer alot today. The Wii didn't even get turned on. The boys played Barbies with Emma for awhile. It was very rainy and stormy, so no outside time at all.

Friday, February 18th: Today Cooper turned 6 years old. The boys didn't have school again today and Josh had to go into work at 12. So he took Cooper out to breakfast. Of course he picked donuts. He had his favorite jelly donuts from The Pink Box. After breakfast he played on the computer for awhile. He picked Burger King for lunch. Josh was able to get off work early and was home by 4:30. We all got ready and went to dinner at Claim Jumper to celebrate his birthday. The kids loved this restaurant. They got so much food. They really loved the build your own sundae. We got home and the boys played Legos for a little bit before bed. I can't believe Cooper is 6 already!

Cooper's Birthday Dinner

Tonight we went to Claim Jumpers for Cooper's birthday dinner. The kids had so much fun. They really loved the "Build your own Sundae". We all had a great evening together!

Disneyland

Carson- He was amazing. That kid can go and go. He was so excited to go on some new rides. Before we got to Disneyland he did not want to go on some of the big rides we told him he was tall enough for. However, once we got there he begged to go on Tower of Terror. Carson went on Indiana Jones, the Matterhorn and Tower of Terror for the first time. The only ride he hasn't gone on is Space Mountain and the Screamin' Rollercoaster. Carson loved the "World of Color" show, especially the fire part. Carson never complained once, even though it was warm and we walked so much. He picked Grandpa to be his ride buddy almost every ride. He has an amazing trip!

Cooper- He had so much fun. He was so surprised with a birthday cupcake at breakfast. He loved the "World of Color" show. Cooper went on the Matterhorn, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Space Mountain, and Tower of Terror for the first time. The only rides he hasn't been on are the Screamin' Rollercoaster and Indiana Jones. Cooper loved having Grandpa and Grandma with us. He really had fun with Jack also. As soon as Grandpa got him a Pirate Mickey hat, he didn't take it off. He was very excited when Daddy got him a pirate sword to go with his hat. Cooper had a wonderful time in Disneyland. He can't wait to go back!

Emma- She had the most magical Disney trip. She wore all her Princess gear. She had a special makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Bootique. She was attached to Grandma the whole trip. Emma is normally very shy, but she had a great time with my Aunt Stacy, Uncle Dan, cousin CC and even her boyfriend Piet. Emma went on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Mickey's Fun Wheel, the Matterhorn and Soarin' Over California for the first time. She was so happy to meet some of the Princesses. She did not want to leave Disneyland. She is counting down the days until we can go back, she says June, we say next February.

Parker- He was such a good boy! He only had one freak out, which for a 2 year old is great. We went nonstop from 7 in the morning until 9 at night. He kept right up with the other kids, even more so than Cooper did. He loved going on the rides and seeing all the characters. He had a great time with Jack. They really played well together. Parker went on the Matterhorn and the Rockets for the first time. Parker loved anything that had to do with Toy Story. He loved "World of Color" and he loved "Fantasmic". It was so much fun watching his reaction to everything. Parker loved Disneyland!

Disneyland- Day 3, Nighttime

These two are so cute- they are only 97 days apart

Carson, Cooper and Emma were passed out for Fantasmic, but Parker was up for the whole show. He loved it, except for the scary part.
