Here is just one of my favorites from my amazing session with my kiddos in a big overgrown field in Okinawa. I just loved the location and so many of the photos I took. To see the rest, click over to Shannon Hager Photography.

Cherry Blossom Portraits at the Park
After school we tried to take a few more portraits at the park. The sun just would not come out for us. Still, I got this cute one of Emma. There were a few other pretty cute ones. To see more, visit: Shannon Hager Photography

Low Tide Exploring at the Beach
After school today it was nice and warm. We stopped by "Dolphin Park" to walk around the beach. It was low tide and the search for sea creatures began. There were some nice Japanese men fishing. If they caught a smaller fish they would put them in one of the little pool for the kids. The kids were so excited. They laughed and laughed. We also found a few crabs. We enjoyed a nice hour exploring then it was home for dinner.

Sunflower Field Fun
Friday afternoon we went to check on the Sunflower fields by our house. They were about 40% in bloom. The festival had not started yet, so we had the place to ourselves. The kids went wild running through the field. I got some amazing photos and loved so many of them.

Bise Road and Emerald Beach
After the cherry blossoms we drove 10 minutes to the Bise Fukugi Tree Road and Emerald Beach. The weather was so nice. It was wonderful sitting on the beach in the warm sunshine. It was a great ending to the day.
Mt. Yaedake Cherry Blossoms
Monday was the perfect day for exploring. There was no school and the weather was great. It was sunny, warm and all blue sky. We went up north with the girls to Mt. Yaedake. The mountain is covered in 7,000 cherry blossom trees. Mt. Yaedake has the first blooming cherry blossoms in all of Japan. It was just beautiful!! You drive up the mountain, taking time to stop along the road and admire the trees. The trees were not fully in bloom yet, but it was so amazing.

Cosmos Field- Take Two
The weather cleared up for a few hours, so after school Diana and I took the kids to the Cosmo field. We haven't done anything together in awhile. The kids were so happy to play together. They ran around everywhere, up and down the hill. They had so much fun!

A Field of 100,000's Cosmos
Flower season has begun here in Okinawa. Yesterday I read about a field of 100,000's Cosmos in bloom. I knew we would be going there today, even if it was a brief stop while running errands. It was so pretty. I really hope to back again this week and take some more photos. I just loved the ones I got of my Princess Emma.
