2010 Year in Review

January- The kids spent the month putting together Legos from Christmas, playing Super Mario Bros and playing with all their new toys. Carson celebrated his 100th day of school.

February- We went to Disneyland. Cooper turned 5 with a Princess and the Frog birthday. We learned Josh would be leaving very quickly for Bahrain.

March- Josh went to Bahrain. The kids and I tried to keep ourselves busy. We went up to Portland for Spring Break and celebrated Easter up there.

April- Josh surprised us and came home early! We were so happy to have Daddy home. We started playing in the pool and sprinklers.

May- Carson worked really had during his last full month of school. We all ended up getting a bad cold that took some time to go away.

June- Carson graduated from Kindergarten. We are all so excited for summer. The boys have been playing the Wii and are crazy about it. We found a Church we really liked and started attending. The boys went to Church camp and loved it.

July- This month Emma turned 4 and we celebrated with a Barbie party. It was really hot, so we didn't play outside much. Josh ran a half marathon.

August- Parker turned 2. We celebrated with 2 parties, a huge one in Portland and a smaller one here. Carson started 1st grade and Cooper started Kindergarten. I started watching AJ.

September- The boys were busy with school. We spent the month talking about Halloween. It is still hot but cooling off at night. Josh has been training really hard for the Portland marathon.

October- Josh ran in the Portland marathon. I turned 29. The kids had a Halloween party. They loved trick-or-treating and Parker really got into it.

November- The Giants won the World Series and it was crazy in our house! Josh turned 28. We made a big Thanksgiving dinner and had a wonderful week off to relax.

December- The month started with an early Christmas with the Hager's. The kids were Dedicated at Church. We watched Cooper's super cute Christmas program. We had an amazing Christmas and a very nice 2 week break. We celebrated Carson's 7th birthday.

WE ARE SO BLESSED! 2010 WAS A WONDERFUL AND EXCITING YEAR FOR US. WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO 2011!

2010 Trips

February- Disneyland for 4 nights, 5 days. We had so much fun. It was Parker's first time at Disneyland. We also celebrated Valentine's Day and Cooper's Birthday. Aunt Chelsea was able to fly down and go with us. It was a wonderful Disneyland trip.

March- While Josh was in Bahrain we went up to Portland for Spring Break. It was a long drive with all 4 kids, by myself. We had a fun visit and a great Easter celebration.

May- We took a day trip out to San Francisco. We went to the zoo then walked around Fisherman's Wharf and Ghiradelli Square. Then we met Grandma Michele for dinner and a drive down the curviest road in the US.

June- A week after school got out I took the kids to Stinson Beach, just north of San Francisco. It was a little chilly in the beginning but then it warmed up. I got so sunburned, it was really bad. The kids had a great time and played in the water for ever. Parker, however, was terrified of the sand and wanted nothing to do with it.

July- We drove up to Seattle with Josh's mom and sister for fun afternoon in Seattle. We went to a House of Hoops opening and saw Brandon Roy. We had a yummy lunch and walked around a little bit. It was Josh's first time in Seattle.

July- We enjoyed a week and a half visit in Portland. We celebrated 4th of July. We went to the zoo. The kids played outside for hours. They played on a slip'n'slide for the first time and loved it!

August- While in Portland we went to Lincoln City for the day. The weather was perfect. Parker was terrified of the sand for the first hour or so. Grandpa was finally able to get him to walk around in it and then he had fun. We had Dairy Queen and the kids had their first dilly bars.

August- I took the kids up to visit Portland before school started and to meet Holden. Josh was able to meet us for 2 days at the end of the trip. The kids played and played outside. They just love being at Grandma and Grandpa's house.

November- While my mom, brother Ryan, and nephew Jack visited we took a day trip to San Francisco. We took the kids on their first trolley ride. Parker loved it. I was able to meet up with a child hood friend that I hadn't seen in 12 years. It was a great day in San Francisco, warm and sunny!

Today is the last day of the year and Carson's 7th birthday. I have successfully blogged every day this year! Today Carson picked chocolate chip muffins for breakfast. He played the Wii and then we got ready for his birthday party. He invited Cam, Abbie, and Rian to his party, a Giants theme of course. He had a wonderful party. After his party we had pizza, put Legos together and watched a movie. Carson really wanted to stay up until midnight, but he only made it until 9:45. I still can't believe he is 7 years old!! Day 364 of 365

Today we attempted to get a few things accomplished. Josh had to work for an hour. We cleaned up the house a little. Josh and Carson took all the cardboard and garbage from Christmas to the dump. We had waffles, again. Tonight we dropped the kids off at the Bassett's. They were so nice. They watched the kids for 3 hours and fed them dinner. The kids had so much fun playing over there. Josh and I went on our date night. We went to dinner, went to the mall, and went to a few places to do some birthday shopping for Carson. It was a wonderful, kids free evening!

Day 363 of 365

Today we were a little more productive. Josh worked on the 2010 video. Then we cleaned the house up before Nicole, Cam, and Tanner came over to visit. The kids had fun playing with Cam and showing them all their new stuff from Christmas. I made a big dinner but no one was really into it. Josh made me a special video with all the pictures of us. Out of 40,000 pictures we had 5 minutes worth of pictures with both of us. We must be better about taking pictures together!

Day 359 of 365

Today was Christmas Day! Carson started waking up at 5:00 asking if we could open presents. I said no, then he was up at 5:30, 5:45 and finally at 6:15 we said ok. We got Parker up and let him wake up a little. The kids ran out of our room to see what Santa brought them. They were so excited to see their stocking full, presents by the fireplace and the cookies eaten. We opened stockings. Stocking favorites- mini Lego (Carson), tube of sharks (Cooper), Lipstick and bracelets (Emma), the Joker and Thomas (Parker), razors (Joshua) and new perfume (me). After stockings the kids opened the presents from Santa, new stuffed animals, 120 crayon box for each of them, how to draw books, Legos, Barbies and Thomas. While they played with those presents I made breakfast. We had french toast, eggs, and sausage. Josh and I took a quick shower and then we opened presents. The kids really did a great job opening just one at a time and watching everyone else open their presents. We opened presents from Mommy and Daddy. Then we did our gift exchange presents. We took a little break to pick everything up and get a little more organized. Then we opened presents from Uncle Kurt and then got on Skype to open presents with Grandma, Grandpa and everyone else watching. They all got exactly what they asked for! After that we opened presents from Grandma Michele and Grandpa Jim. They loved everything they got. It was almost 1:00 by the time we finished opening everything. Carson and Cooper spent the afternoon playing their new Wii games, DS games, and Leapster games. They also made some Flip videos and tried on new clothes. Emma spent the afternoon playing Barbies, playing with the Leapster and dressing up in her new Tangled dress. Parker spent the afternoon playing with all the new Batman toys and of course, his Bigfoot. He loves that thing and it is so funny to watch him play with it. Josh and I relaxed, put toys together, and clean up all the garbage that comes along with Christmas. We had a nice dinner. Then everyone got in their pj's, Cooper of course in his new shark robe, and we watched Despicable Me. It was an amazing Christmas!! We are so blessed!! What a fantastic day!
