Day 339 of 365

Today Josh was up early for his race which started at 7:00. The kids and I slept in a little bit, not much. We had breakfast and made a cake for later in the day. I decided last night I was going to take the kids to the marathon finish line. Josh had no idea we were going. He really thought I said we were staying home. We left around 9:30 and got there with plenty of time this year. He was so surprised when he passed us, he almost didn't even realize we were there. He did great, 4 hours and 25 minutes, his 2nd best finish. After the race we rushed home, the kids ate lunch, everyone took showers, got dressed up and into the car in an hour and 15 minutes. Not bad. Josh and I make a great team. We are really good at getting us all out the door quickly. We headed to the Dedication and met everyone half way there. The kids looked absolutely amazing!!! The Dedication was great. The kids all were very well behaved. We even had to get up on stage and talk, which of course I left that to Josh. It was a very special day and a very special event for our family. After the Dedication we came back to our house. We had a yummy dinner and then we had an early Christmas celebration. The kids got to open some presents, which they were very excited about. Uncle Caleb had his "fish talk" with the kids. They had so much fun listening to Uncle Caleb talk about fishing. They all left a little before 8:00. The kids went to bed. Josh and I watched some TV and then went to bed. It has poured tonight, crazy.
