Day 59 of 365

Today we had our usual breakfast, probably for the last time until Josh gets back. I don't think we will be going to get donuts every weekend. Getting all 4 dressed, in and out of the car, just for donuts, umm, maybe once a weekend. I tackled the boys room today. It looks so much better and should be easier to keep up. I went grocery shopping and to Michaels one last time by myself. Josh did some yard work and cleaned up the garage. We had yummy beef stew for dinner and milkshakes again for treat.

Month 2 of 12

February went by so fast. We took our annual Disney trip. Aunt Chelsea came with us and we had so much fun. Cooper turned 5! He is getting so old. The kids and I spent the month passing around a cold. We learned that Josh would be leaving us for 6 months again to go to Bahrain.

Day 58 of 365

Day 57 of 365

Today was crazy hair day at school. I spiked Carson's hair all up. He looked like wolverine. I have a terrible head cold, no fun. It is a rainy and stormy day. Today we found out Josh will be leaving within a week, most likely next weekend. How can he be leaving already! This is going to be our last weekend together before he leaves.

Day 56 of 365

Today we had lunch outside. It was a little cold, but they thought it was hot in the sun. After dinner we went for a walk/bike ride around the neighborhood. I have a really bad sore throat and headache so I'm guessing I will wake up with a bad cold.

Day 55 of 365

Today we are still adjusting to the idea of Josh leaving. We still don't know the date yet, but it should be within the next few weeks. Parker has a little bit of a cold in his eyes. They are goopy but not pink. But, he is happy. The boys really need haircuts, so hopefully this weekend we can convince them to go get it cut. Emma is a talker. She talks and talks, all day long! We redid the mattle today and put up all our Disneyland pictures. I will try to take a picture tomorrow and post it.

Day 54 of 365

Today we found out, Josh will be going to Bahrain in 2-3 weeks. He will be gone for 6 months. We don't know the exact date yet, but it will be soon. This will be the first deployment on my own, with all 4, no family, no helpers. Carson said he doesn't want Josh to leave, but he will help be the man of the house. Cooper was quiet about it, just taking it all in. Emma doesn't really understand. She thinks he will just be at work and then come home after. Its going to be difficult on the kids. He just got back from Iraq in June. Keep us in your prayers!

Day 52 of 365

Today I went grocery shopping. I spent $113 and saved $96.74, almost 50%. I did the P&G promo, where you spend $25 (before coupons) and get get a $10 coupon for your next visit. I got 7 bottles of dishsoap and 2 bounce dryer bars (we love these!). Before coupons it would have been $27.91 but after my coupons the total was $12.41, plus I earned the $10 coupon, so it was like spending $2.41 for all that. Not bad, I am thinking about doing it again. I have a ton of coupons that will work. The kids went to bed pretty easily, but doesn't happen often. Josh watched the Blazer game and I read my book.

Day 51 of 365

Today was cleaning day. Josh got the house all picked up. I ran some errands, including going to the only scrapbook store around here, which is going out of business. The kids had movie night with popcorn and watched the movie "Shorts". They really liked it. Josh and I watched "Law Abiding Citizen". We really liked it.

Day 50 of 365

Today we had pizza for lunch instead of dinner. Josh was able to get home by 6:45. He watched the Blazer game. Today he also found out he might be going to Kabul, maybe in a few weeks. Lets all pray he doesn't have to go. I can't imagine being by myself with all 4 of them, again. He hasn't even been home for a year yet. Hopefully, we find out soon.

Day 49 of 365

Today was Cooper's 5th Birthday. He went out for donuts and hot chocolate with Daddy. He played the Wii and watched 1 of his new Super Mario movies. We made Princess & the Frog cupcakes. After Parker's nap we went to Target. He got to pick out a present. He really wanted to get something Princess & the Frog, but they didn't have anything. So, he picked out a Star Wars starfighter. He picked McDonald's for dinner. Josh made it home in time for cupcakes and presents. Cooper got some clothes, some Princess & the Frog books, a book all about Elephants, a new wii remote, and some Super Mario DVD's. He had a great birthday. On Saturday we will have a little party with Cameron and his family. 5 years old, one whole hand, unbelievable!

It was only 70°. What is going to happen this summer when it is 110°? Cooper is really looking forward to his birthday tomorrow. I can't believe he is almost 5!

Today was a rest day and clean up day. Josh cleaned up the house. I worked on laundry and grocery shopping. I went to Safeway and saved $123, 45%. Of that $123, $22 was from my coupons. Overall, a pretty good shopping trip. The kids rested, played the Wii, and looked at the Disneyland pictures over and over. Josh and I celebrated Valentine's Day.
