Fukushu-en Gardens

This morning the sun was shining, finally! We had to take advantage of the sunshine and get outside. After dropping off the boys at school we picked up my friend Diana and we headed to the Fukushu-en Gardens in Naha. I have been wanting to go to this Chinese garden for a long time, but recently it has been rainy or cloudy and gloomy. Parker and Emma were so excited to go do something that the boys didn't get to do. They were in rare form at the gardens. They were hyper and making the craziest faces. They had so much fun!! The gardens were beautiful. We had a wonderful morning. It was so nice to get outside and enjoy the sunshine.

Gala Salt Factory

Last Saturday it was a rainy wet day, again. We went with our friends to the Gala Salt Factory. We got to make our own salt from seawater. We put our salt in a special clay pot and brought it home. The kids found it pretty interesting although it did take about 30 minutes. We saw different types of salt from around the world and had some yummy ice cream.

Maesa Elephant Camp, Thailand

Josh had the once in a lifetime opportunity to go to the Maesa Elephant Camp while in Thailand.  He said it was amazing and so cool. He got to sit with elephants, watch them perform and ride an elephant. The kids would have just loved to be there, as would I.
