Weekend Review

It was wonderful having a long weekend, even though we all were sick with a cold. Friday, Carson stayed home because of his cold. So, we went to San Francisco because Josh had the day off also. Saturday Carson was doing better, but the other 3 got the cold. We rested and played Legos. Sunday, I got the cold. The kids still weren't 100%. We stayed home and played games- pillow jumping and hide and seek. Monday, Josh took the boys to a Giants game.

San Francisco Beach

After Fisherman's Wharf, we headed down to the beach. The kids had so much FUN!! The boys went in the ocean pretty far. Emma built a sandcastle and eventually went in the water. They would have stayed there all day. When we were driving home, Carson said, "This was the best day in my whole life."!!

Golden Gate Bridge

The Bay Bridge was closed due to construction, so we had to go the round-a-bout way to San Francisco. It was a little bit longer of a drive, but we got to go across the Golden Gate Bridge. This was the kids first time going across it. They thought that was pretty cool!

San Francisco: 3rd Stop

The last "must stop" while at Fisherman's Wharf, is the seal lions. Oh my, they were stinky and loud.

San Francisco: 2nd Stop

After lunch at Boudin, of course the next stop is Ghirardelli. The kids each picked out some Halloween chocolates. Then, they played around the fountain.

San Francisco: 1st Stop

The first stop on any trip to San Francisco is the Boudin Sourdough Bakery. Now that the kids, especially Carson, are really into good bread, they each got their own mini bread turtle. They ate the legs, followed by the head, and finally the soft insides of the shell.

We Made it 2 Weeks

Exactly 2 weeks after the first day of school, Carson has gotten his first cold of the year. He woke up, crawled into my bed, and said, "Mom, I'm sick, I can't go to school". Poor guy! Sore throat, sneezes, and snot. He stayed home and rested on the couch most the day watching superhero movies.

Weekly Review #2- Shape Week

This week we continued our prewriting worksheets. We practiced our shapes and did alot of coloring. The kids made a shape watercolor with stamps. We read MANY books this week!

Keeping Busy

When Josh has swings (works from 2 to 10pm) we are are always trying to find things to keep ourselves occupied. This week we made funny face sandwiches, played store, built towers, went to the Bookstore, and played baby Emma.
