Day 75 of 365

Today was another beautiful day. While Carson was at school the other kids and I went to Target. Cooper's movie, Princess and the Frog came out as well as Astro Boy. We got 1 packs of diapers, coffee, 2 bluray movies, 4 power toothbrushes, bandaids, tylenol and a few snacks. We spent $72 and saved $87! That is really good for Target! We came home and had lunch. We watched our new movies and read books. Everyone is really missing Joshua!

Day 74 of 365

Today was a sunny but crabby day. Everyone was pretty tired because of the time change. We read books, practiced writing, rode bikes outside and played catch. For treat we made milkshakes and then read books for awhile before the boys got some wii time.

A Beautiful Sunday

Day 73 of 365

Today we had our donuts again. I don't know if I will be able to keep up this weekend ritual. Taking all 4 into the store, just to get donuts is a lot of work! Today we also ventured out to the grocery store. Cooper was in the cart, because his legs are "always broken". Emma walked. Carson pushed Parker in the little stroller. We were quite a sight. However, they were very patient with me, despite me looking through coupons often. We also did a great job saving money. We spent $64 and saved $134, a savings of 67%!! We got 10 boxes of cereal, 6 boxes of fruit snacks, and 4 nature valley items for $26.50! It was another sunny day. The kids played outside with the car map and their new legos. Even though Josh was gone we had our usual family Sunday dinner. We had spaghetti with "butterfly" noodles (which Cooper ate!), garlic bread, and strawberries. Bedtime was a little difficult because of the time change. Hopefully it won't take too long to adjust.

Day 72 of 365

Today was our first Saturday without Josh. Everyone was pretty sad and we all really wished Daddy was here. We all went to get donuts and coffee. We came home, ate breakfast and then cleaned the house. The boys helped clean the toilets, something I can't stand. After we cleaned up we went out to Roseville. We went to Toys R Us, Joanns, and the bookstore. Everyone behaved and we had a great time. We came home and played the rest of the afternoon.

Day 71 of 365

Today it rained. It was dark and gloomy all day. It was one of those days you just want to curl up on the couch and watch movies. Not in this house though. Carson had a great day at school. He got his report card. He is doing great except for rhyming. He is still having a very difficult time with that. He just doesn't get it. We had our first pizza night without Josh, so sad. The kids and I read some books then watched a little bit of Shrek 3. I started reading the last Twilight book finally. Everyone got to talk to Josh, so that was nice!

Day 70 of 365

Today was a beautiful sunny day! After school Cameron came over for lunch. The kids of course ate outside. We watched "Heathcliff". Remember this show? I watched it when I was little. The kids saw a preview on another DVD and wanted to watch it. I didn't think I would be able to find it, but it was on Amazon. They loved it and really like the song. The kids played outside while I made dinner. They were pretending they were all on an airplane flying to Bahrain to see Daddy. It was so cute!! After dinner everyone was dirty so they took baths and showers. I trimmed Parker's hair. Josh was able to get up earlier and talk to Carson. Carson was very happy to finally talk to Daddy!

Day 69 of 365

Today was the first day we were able to talk to Josh on the computer. The connection wasn't great, but he was able to see us perfectly! Parker was so excited to see Daddy! Thank goodness for the internet! The kids played outside a little today and then we read books for an hour!

Scrapbook Pages

Trying to stay distracted. These pictures are all from last March. It's crazy to think Josh was in Iraq when these pictures were taken and now he is in Bahrain.

Day 68 of 365

Today was our first full day by ourselves. It was unreal. It was like Josh was just at work and he would be walking through the door at any moment. I was able to talk to him tonight for a little bit. He was really tired but he made it there safely. It is going to be a long 6 months!

Day 67 of 365

Today we cried, and cried some more, followed by some hugs, and more crying. We took Josh to the airport in the morning. He flies to Salt Lake City, St. Paul, Amsterdam, Kuwait City, and finally Bahrain. He will arrive tomorrow afternoon, our time. We are going to miss having Daddy here so much!

We will miss you Daddy!

(sorry, i haven't edited these pictures, I will fix the eyes at some point)

Last Night

The kids all helped Josh pack, but Carson and Cooper were the biggest helpers.

Day 66 of 365

Today was our last day with Josh. We had lots of little things to get done. I went grocery shopping. We had a big family dinner and then went for a walk. Josh finally packed. The boys helped him. Carson was waiting all day to hear that Josh's deployment was canceled. He really believed Josh could get out of going. He was really sad. It just breaks my heart to see him sad. Anyway, Josh tucked everyone. We watched some TV and then went to bed. We are really going to miss Daddy!

Day 63 of 365

Today Josh and I went out to the base together. Nicole watched the kids. I had to get a new ID. Cooper's cold is still pretty bad. Carson just has a bad cough. Tonight Nicole and Troy brought pizza over for the kids and watched them while Josh and I went out to dinner. I'm so happy we met them. It was really nice going out to eat, just the two of us.
