Ecola State Park on the Oregon Coast

One day while in Portland we drove out to Ecola State Park near Cannon Beach. The weather was great. It was so much fun going to an Oregon beach. Yes, we live at the beach but our beaches are so different. We all loved seeing and hearing the big waves. It was beautiful!

Love this one of Parker. He looks so tall!

Green, green, and more green. So beautiful.

Pictures with the best grandparents in the world! The kids are so lucky they have such wonderful grandparents that love to get out and explore!

Camping at Suttle Lake, OR- Us

Josh and I were really excited to take the kids camping for the first time. We have wanted to do it for a long time but we were waiting for the kids to get a little older. The kids were all so occupied with Grandma, Grandpa and Jack that we could to spend a lot of time together. It was wonderful. Josh was in full mountain man mode but he still looked so hot!

And of course you always need a silly picture!

And it was so cold!

Camping at Suttle Lake, OR- The Gang

One day while camping we hiked the 3.5 miles around the lake. It was an easy hike and helped warm us up. We stopped at the resort on the other side of the lake for hot chocolate.

I love this picture of my Dad. He is amazing. I did have to laugh though. He was freezing and ready to almost give up on camping. That is so not his personality at all and really shows how cold we were!

Grandma and the gang in front of our personal rainbow. It almost looks fake. It was so pretty.

Some more random pictures of everyone.

And it was so cold!

Camping at Suttle Lake, OR- The Kids

Despite the freezing temperatures, the kids just loved camping. They wanted to stay a whole week instead of just 2 nights. They just loved the whole camping experience.

Nothing better than camping pancakes!

I love this picture so much. I couldn't decide whether I like the black and white or color one better. Parker is just too cute!

The kids had so much fun with their cousin Jack. They just loved being with him. Jack is just so adorable and he has the most beautiful blue eyes!

Nelson went camping with us. Poor puppy dog ate something bad and was sick the whole time.

And it was so cold!

Fishing at Suttle Lake, OR

A lot of our camping time was spent fishing. We fished the entire 2 1/2 days and caught nothing. Not one single bite. Cooper was so patient though. He just sat there and waited, and waited, and waited. Daddy, Grandpa and Uncle Ryan helped all the kids.

And it was so cold!

Our 1st Family Camping Trip- Suttle Lake, OR

While in Portland we took the kids camping for the first time. We went with my parents, my brother, sister-in-law, and nephew Jack. We went to Suttle Lake. It was beautiful. Our campsite was right on the edge of the lake. It really was the most perfect camping spot.

The weather on the other hand was not great. It rained off and on. It was so cold. We have all never been so cold in our lives. Absolutely freezing!!! We all were bundled up and wearing several layers of clothing. The campfire had to be going the entire time with someone continuous adding wood. It was so cold! We did get to see this amazing rainbow that dipped right into the lake in front of us. So pretty.

Back in Okinawa

We are back from our 3 1/2 week trip back to the States. With 1700 pictures to sort through and edit, it will take some time. I will be working on editing all week.... of course after catching up on our sleep!

We had an amazing trip and we miss everyone already!
