Starting the Weekend Out Right

Today was beautiful, warm and sunny. After school we met the girls at Torii Beach. The tide was out and the water was so calm, just like a lake.

The splash pad and waterslide were open and this was our first time playing there. Parker and Emma just loved the splash pad. Carson and Cooper loved the waterslide. They have never gone down a waterslide by themselves before. The lifeguard was awesome and would catch them if they said they wanted that. They just loved it and went down time and time again.

After eating dinner at the beachside Sunset Grill, we went back down to the water to watch the sun go down. It was magical. So beautiful!

Walking back to the car Cooper found this starfish. This is the 2nd starfish he has found here. He was so excited about it. And he was so sweet, he gave it to Addie who really wanted a starfish of her own. Such a sweet boy!

As you can see, Cooper was all about getting his picture taken today. He normally fusses about it and makes goofy faces. Today he went along with me requests and they all look so cute!

Basic Grey NSD Challenges

Last weekend was National Scrapbook Day. One of my favorite companies hosted several layout challenges HERE. I wasn't able to get them all done. But here are the ones I completed. I love how they all turned out!

"You are Amazing" I used the Kissing Booth collection for the May Flower Challenge.

"Emma" I used the Hopscotch collection. This was for the Split Down the Middle Challenge.

"Be Happy & Smile" I used the older Marrakesh Collection. This was for the Mixed Font Title Challenge.

"Cherish" I used the Two Scoops collection. This was for the Vintage Challenge.

"Simple Pleasures" I used the Hopscotch collection. This was for the Shape Challenge. I used hearts and circles.

A Little Park Fun After School

Another nice day, not perfect, but warm and partly cloudy. So of course we stopped at the park to play for a little bit after school. They went up and down the rollerslide and drop slide. But I love these pictures in the grass the best.

As we left the beach the sun had started to set. We sat in the grass for awhile and ate some chips while the sun dipped into the ocean. It was beautiful. We didn't stay too long because it was getting late, but it was amazing!

BREATHTAKING!

1st Visit to Nirai Beach

Today was another beautiful day. With thunderstorms in the forecast for later this week I knew we had to go to the beach again. Normally we don't do much on school days because the boys always have so much homework. But today it would have been illegal to stay inside and not enjoy the weather. After school we headed out to Nirai Beach and met the girls there. It was not the easiest beach to find, but we did. The kids played and played and played. They swam from 4:15-6:15 straight.

Couldn't decide which version I liked. I love both.

Such a wonderful day at the beach.

Everyone agreed playing at the beach is way better than homework and picking up.

Yummy Ice Cream Treats after Playing at the Beach

Every beach here in Okinawa has some sort of ice cream stand. After playing at the beach it was time for a yummy treat. They shared chocolate sundaes and they loved them. We sat in the shade because it was hot in the sun. A wonderful Sunday, but could have been better if Daddy had been here.
