Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt at the Park

We went to our favorite park by our house, Comprehensive Park for a yummy picnic and egg hunt. Diana and I made some yummy food. The kids all sat in the grass and ate. They have the funniest conversations. The 6 of them get along so well!

While Josh and Max hid all the eggs we took some really cute pictures of all the kids. Emma just loves Hannah and Addie! She loves having girls to play with.

They were all so excited for the egg hunt. We had so many eggs. The kids spent and hour on Saturday filling over 200 eggs. So of course it took some time hiding all those eggs.

Parker got a head start. He was so happy about that! There were eggs everywhere, plenty for everyone. The older kids found eggs hidden in trees, under leaves and in the roots of trees. It was a great egg hunt!
This was the perfect Easter afternoon in Okinawa!

Our 1st Easter Morning in Okinawa

The kids were up bright and early. They were so excited to see their baskets. Of course too excited for me to get any pictures. They loved everything in their baskets (Thank you very much Mom, Dad and Michele). After baskets we had homemade waffles and got ready for our Easter picnic with the McMillan's. I took a few pictures of them before we headed down to the park.
Our first Easter in Okinawa was beautiful, 75 and blue sky. This was also the first Easter Josh has ever had with Parker. In 2009 he was in Iraq, in 2010 he was in Bahrain, and in 2011 he was in Florida. This made it an extra special Easter for him and Parker!

Easter Egg Hunt at Torii Beach

Today, after a week of sunshine and blue sky, the weather turned stormy and rainy. That did not stop us from heading out to an Easter Egg Hunt sponsored by the Enlisted Spouses Club. We drove out to Torii Beach. We met the McMillan's there. There was food, crafts, games and a big Easter Egg Hunt. The kids all looked so cute all dressed up, but of course jackets ruined it.

The kids loved seeing the Easter bunny. They really loved that he was giving out a ton of candy.

Parker's Easter Egg Hunt was first. There were so many eggs for the 1-4 year olds. There were only 8 or 9 little ones. Parker was so excited! This was the first Easter Egg hunt Josh has been to with Parker. He was so happy to finally take part in the excitement.

Parker got so many eggs. He kept coming back and saying he was done. Then he would go back for more. There were way too many eggs for the little ones. The big kids didn't get to start until the little ones were finished. The big kids ran over and helped the little ones get the rest of the eggs. Parker's bag was full to the top. He was so happy!

The big kids finally had their turn. They were so fast. It was impossible to stay with all of them. They all had so much running around searching for eggs. It started to rain during their hunt. After that we were all ready to go home. They all got a ton of candy and lots of little toys, erasers, and bracelets.

It was pretty rainy and stormy. It would have been so beautiful if it was sunny. We were right along the beach. Emma won this bunny. She was so excited about it! Despite the bad weather the kids all had so much fun.

Easter Carnival

Because Saturday was our last day in Portland and it was gorgeous, we decided to celebrate Easter early. We got up and ready then headed to the Grace Point Church down the street from my parents. The Church had an amazing carnival. The kids played games, jumped in bounce houses, had lunch and of course, easter egg hunts. They got so much candy and tickets to turn in for prizes. They loved the ticket idea and had a lot of fun picking what they wanted with the tickets. It was so much fun and really nice because it wasn't too crowded like some other Easter egg hunts in the area.

A little too sunny, but still a cute picture of all 4 of them.
