Day 165 of 365

Today the kids and I headed out to Stinson Beach. It was a little chilly and foggy when we got there. Carson panicked and thought it was going to rain and ruin the whole day. I tried to explain to him it is foggy here daily. By the afternoon the fog burned off and it was warm. As soon as we walked onto the beach I set Parker down- assuming he would want to run in the sand. Nope- totally terrified, screaming, freaking out, scared of the sand. It was the craziest thing. He cried for about the first 45 minutes we were there. Eventually he let me set him down on the towels. We tried many times to get him to go in the sand, wet and dry. He wanted nothing to do with that. So we moved his towel to wherever we were playing. He loved watching the other kids play. Carson and Cooper played in the ocean for 4 hours. The jumped and jumped, ran and ran. They loved playing in the water, which I must say was freezing. Emma played in the water a little but most of the time she played in the sand. We all had a wonderful time at the beach. When we got home we surveyed the sun damage- Carson is a little blotching in places that were missed during re-application, Cooper is a little pink- but not much, Emma's lower back is a little bit pink but not too bad, Parker has one little pink area on his face and then there is me- I look like a lobster. Oh my, I am so sunburned. It hurts so bad!!!! Despite the immense pain I am in right now- it was an awesome day with my little monkey's!
